AFK Dungeon offers three bonus dungeons to the player: the Gold Dungeon, Equipment Dungeon, and the Exp Dungeon. These dungeons allow your character to collect more of the different currencies in game, which means that your character gets stronger faster.
The “Dungeon” menu can be found on the top-left corner of the screen below the Mastery menu.

Bonus Dungeons Basic Info
In AFK Dungeon, you can enter any of the three bonus dungeons throughout the day. However, you won’t be able to do a dungeon run every minute.
All three bonus dungeons have a cooldown time of 10 minutes, which means that you will have to wait for 10 minutes before running the same dungeon again.
For example, after running the Gold Dungeon, you will have to wait for 10 minutes before you can run it again. But, you can run the Equipment Dungeon and the Exp Dungeon right after the Gold Dungeon.
So, make sure not to miss out on the dungeons. Run them as much as you can, as they give more gold, equipment, and exp than you can get by normally killing enemies and boss monsters.
Bonus Dungeons Details
For each dungeon run, you will need to fill up a purple bar that you can find on the top part of the screen. Once you’ve filled it up, you will exit the dungeon and receive your rewards. As their names state, completing each dungeon run gives you gold, equipment, and exp, respectively.
Each bonus dungeon has different stages. As you clear each stage for the first time, you unlock the next stage on the list. Of course, the higher the stage, the more difficult it is, but it also offers much better rewards.
However, take note that failing to defeat all monsters in each dungeon run will result in you not receiving any rewards. To avoid wasting any of your dungeon runs, keep an eye on the recommended power listed below each dungeon level’s entrance button.
You can find your character’s power below your username, beside a sword icon. Your character’s equipment plays a huge part in determining his current power.
Strategy
Since the bonus dungeons are very useful in AFK Dungeon, we made this guide to help you avoid wasting any of your dungeon runs.
Equipment Dungeon
In this bonus dungeon, you get more drops the faster you kill all the monsters in each stage. So, we recommend going for the dungeon levels where you can kill the monsters in one to two hits. Remember, the longer you take to complete the dungeon level, the lower your drop rate will be for that run.
Recommended Skills
For the equipment dungeon, we recommend equipping the Dark Shadow skill and the Tornado skill in the first two slots. You can fill up the two remaining slots with whichever skill you like, but if you can sacrifice some of your character’s health for damage, add the Berserk skill to your list.
The Tornado skill only has a 3.5 second cooldown, which means your character will be able to spam it almost continuously. It continuously deals damage to enemies for 3 seconds straight after casting it, which boosts your character’s dps considerably.
Additionally, the Tornado skill will deal more damage the higher its level, so consider upgrading it.
Gold Dungeon
Unlike the equipment dungeon, you will need to kill as many monsters as you can in the gold dungeon. The more monsters you kill, the more gold you will get. So, make sure to keep a closer eye on the recommended power of each dungeon level.
As long as your character survives until he can kill all of the monsters in the level, you will receive gold. Because of this, we recommend sticking to the level you can safely clear until you get enough power to defeat a higher difficulty.
Recommended Skills
For this dungeon, the skills you choose are not as important as the ones you choose for the equipment dungeon. As long as you can kill all of the monsters in the level, you can equip any skill you want.
In fact, if you don’t want to think of a new skill set just for this, you can even equip the skills you use for the equipment dungeon.
Exp Dungeon
Similar to the gold dungeon, you will need to kill as many monsters as you can in the exp dungeon. The more monsters you kill, the more exp you will receive at the end. Again, make sure to keep a close eye on each dungeon level’s recommended power.
Make sure your character can kill all of the monsters in each level so you don’t waste any of your dungeon runs. Once your character beats all monsters in each level, you will receive exp.
Again, we recommend sticking to the dungeon level that your character can safely clear. You can keep running the same dungeon level until you get enough power to defeat a higher difficulty.
Recommended Skills
Just like the gold dungeon, the skills you equip are less important in the exp dungeon than those in the equipment dungeon. You can equip your favorite skills or any skill you want as long as your character can defeat all monsters in the current level.
Or, you can simply equip the same skills you use for the equipment dungeon.
